Last Nights Weirdness

Since I wasn't tired last night at midnightish I decided to walk into town and try some long exposure photography. The photographs I took were mucking around holding the camera in front of me while the shutter was open on the bulb setting I looked up which allows exposures longer than 30 seconds.

Since the Doppelganger stuff is going to be relocated to my external hard drive I have space for lots of new photos. I will definately be pursuing the cover photos for my One Weird World book idea and writing extra stories to add to the collection.

Those are the photos, now for the story. I had just passed a fight on Union Street across from the taxi rank and was crossing the crossroads over the bridge. There was a skinny guy walking the other way and then he started walking towards me. I generally find the best thing to do when meeting people on the street is to act like the whole thing is normal. The guy introduced himself as Patrick something, several times and assured me he didn't usually get so drunk. He said that most people avoid the drunks and congratulated me on walking through the middle of it. He made it sound a bit more epic though. He shook my hand, a few times, kept telling me his full name and said that if anyone started on me I was to tell them Patrick had my back. I stared blankly as I do at most things I find strange and he hugged me and told me what a good guy I was. The whole time I was trying to work out if he had some sort of angle but thought it best to act like his new friend. A homeless guy across the street shouted at him and insulted him by name and we said goodbye as he crossed the street to argue.

I think the guy was maybe just grateful that I didn't avoid him on sight. Sometimes people do that to me which can help with a sense of safety but mostly bugs me since people are clearly making judgments.

Alas, Poor Yorick

I knew him, Horatio; a fellow or poor wit and lame jokes told too oft, screw him!
Tchaikovsky still plays the skull so well so many years on, he really should branch out though. He's earned a lead role by now, playing the skull of Yorick in Hamlet since 1982. He should audition for This is Essex or one of those other 'reality television' programmes, he's a better actor than anyone they have and he still has more brain cells left in his skull than they have put together.

In addition I say, Alas poor Tennant, David; a fellow who jumped ship on Dr Who before Steven Moffat took the ships wheel. Ah well, it's Matt Smiths boat now and he sails it well.

Repetition, Repetition

Since the photo of the three versions of me in the quad seemed to me like the standout photo of the Doppelganger set and therefor the only one so far I've had printed at 10" by 15" I thought I'd try redoing it holding the print of the origional. I might repeat this process a couple of times so that a huge print would show the layers of image, just an idea. I've also got some photos taken in the warehouses a few days ago. Any new Doppelganger photos wont be in the Blurb book since that's been uploaded and should by now be printing hopefully to be shipped and if I'm lucky delivered before the hand in. I am however working on the second short story so there is the possibility of a second Blurb book based on that which would either be a summer project or something for next year if I'm still doing this. I hope to have the story finished by hand in  next  Wednesday.

New Mirror Photos

Since people said that they would have liked to see the mirror photo prints and they did look good as large prints I thought I'd do another set with reflections of the first.
