Some photographers seem to think the wild colours and surreal effects often used in HDR photography detract from the image. I don't agree, as a fan of upped saturation anyway I love the colour in these images and the power it gives them.

Having Used FDR Tools Basic...
... I created my first successful HDR image. The result was slightly underwhelming. I had to convert it to JPEG using Easy2Convert software's HDR to Jpg. Here it is:
Picturenauts save files aren't recognised by the rest of my imaging software, shit.
I had a couple of different exposures for the same shot from this morning and put them together and they look amazing but I can't open any of the save files in Paint Shop Pro. I probably need to find a free copy of Photoshop somewhere.
A screen-cap, I want this damned image or at least the ability to print something similar.

Awake again, why did I forget these?
I also ordered a ND400 filter thats as good as 9 stops which should let me take long exposures in bright daylight. I hate how I ordered it yesterday and today when I log on to check the order the site recommended me half a dozen others sellers offering the same item for less. Time to get out the noodles, they're all I'll be eating for a while...Thursday, 28 April 2011
Finally, neutral density lens photos.
Since two rich people getting married in England is apparently important enough to warrant the uni being closed today I figured I would stay up from last night and take some early morning photos in the low light. I'm glad I stayed up and glad I'll probably sleep through the worst of the marriage bullshit today. Work done - check, ignoring pointlessly posh people - check.
Daytime Long Exposure...
...just isn't possible with the two neutral density lenses I have, even combined ND8 and ND4 lenses (which I think is approximate to ND12?) aren't enough for anything more than a 3 second exposure in decent light. I need something like an ND50.
might find one here...
adjustable ND filter, not sure I trust that...
