Save Rock and Roll

I need music, have since lying in bed for hours at a time after my first seizure. I wasn't allowed to watch television in case it was the trigger so I listened to audiobooks and music for hours at a time. Generally there are weaker songs on an album that I just want to skip over to get to the good stuff but there are a few albums I can just listen to end to end in circles for a long while before I have to find something else.Meteora by Linkin Park was the first of those and the most recent is Save Rock and Roll by Fall Out Boy which again has artwork I really like.

I was sure it was a set up rather than something the photographer Roger Stonehouse just happened by but from the comment on his site http://500px.com/rogerroger maybe not. Interesting contrast.

It's been a while

All I've been doing for months is trying to finish my first book. It's hard to think about anything else but now that the end is near I'm starting to think about what I'll do beyond that project. A sequel no one will ever ask for is probably on the cards but I want to be doing other things in the meantime. I haven't touched my camera much in months which is just a waste. Hopefully there'll be new stuff on here soon enough. Just scrolling through things online I found these two: http://www.bangsanghyeok.com/ and http://www.reddwalitzki.com/ I'm pretty sure I've seen the work of Redd Walitzki in private galleries, sadly not Sanghyeok Bang's. I like the interesting interludes between the nudity. Can black and white photography make anything look classy?

Intricate storytelling I'm assured, I haven't read the book, yet, and if this film is a fraction of the fun it looks to be I'll love it.

Dadaism

This one I've heard of at least but reading up on it is very confusing. It seems to have started out with an anti-war sentiment at it's core but later on that seems lost in all of the abstraction later on.

Fluxism

Despite going to art school there are still so many fancy terms for movements and styles of art that I've never heard of and I learnt a new one today; Fluxism. It seems to be an attempt to avoid being drawn into traditional or classical art and in the same way as modern music seems to have come about as a new form/thing (this is the technical speak) through the fusion of older formats. I'd try to explain it more but I'm lazy and I can just post the link below.
